AAM held it’s Annual General Meeting on 20th June 2019, Thursday at No.5, Shinetree Building.

The meeting began with an introduction and presentation of its Annual Report 2018 highlighting some of the key events that took place in the past year from January 2018 to January 2019.

Members were then presented with plans for the coming year through the proposed 2019 Action Plan, Annual Budget & Membership Fees. Members discussed and voted to unanimously approve the proposals.

AAM representatives for the Maldives Building & Construction Board and Appeals Committee to be formed under Law no: 4/2019 (Construction Act) were also voted on from nominated members.

In addition, members also agreed and voted to form a Working Group made up of volunteer members to monitor and review laws & regulations.

Lastly, members voted to introduce an Annual AAM Student Award to recognise outstanding student work in our local architecture schools.

We would like to thank all members that attended and made AGM 2019 a success. All documents related to AGM 2019, including draft minutes, can be accessed at our Governance page.
